BetterDesk started when we saw IT teams struggling with the same problem everywhere: managing hardware assets was slow, manual, and error-prone. Technicians walked between floors carrying clipboards, typed serial numbers by hand into spreadsheets, and chased colleagues for signatures on paper forms that inevitably got lost.
TOPdesk is an excellent ITSM platform, but it was never designed for the warehouse floor or the server room. IT professionals needed a way to scan barcodes on the spot, collect digital signatures during handovers, and have that data flow back into TOPdesk automatically, without double entry, without delays, and without paper.
That is exactly what BetterDesk does. We built a mobile app and web dashboard that extends TOPdesk with the field capabilities it was missing. Every scan, every signature, every document is synced back to TOPdesk in real time. The result: IT teams that are faster, more accurate, and fully auditable.
We continuously improve BetterDesk based on real feedback from IT professionals. Every feature we build solves a problem that our customers actually face, not a theoretical scenario from a product roadmap. We ship updates frequently and iterate based on how teams use the platform in the field.
